Arthur Shapton Richards

Arthur Shapton Richards (1877 – 5 August 1947) was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party.

He represented the Roskill electorate from 1931 to 1946, and then the Mount Albert electorate from 1946 to 1947 when he died. He was the senior Government whip, and had stood unsuccessfully for Hamilton in 1922, Marsden in 1925 and Roskill in 1928.

He was born in Reading, England and came to New Zealand in 1894, first at Gisborne and Poverty Bay, then from 1922 Auckland.
